Mercedes-Benz has a long tradition of making elegant and spacious wagons, but the new E-Class All-Terrain takes the concept to a new level of versatility and luxury. This is a wagon that can handle rough roads and challenging terrains thanks to its raised suspension, all-wheel drive, and off-road driving mode. It's also a wagon that offers a luxurious, high-tech cabin with plenty of room for passengers and cargo. The E-Class All-Terrain is a unique vehicle that combines the best of both worlds: comfort and capability.
The Mercedes-Benz E-Class All-Terrain is based on the regular E-Class Estate but with some distinctive features that set it apart. It has a special grille, bumpers, and wheel arches that give it a rugged look. It also has an air suspension system that can adjust the ride height by up to 46 mm, depending on the driving situation. In All-Terrain mode, the suspension raises the car by 20 mm, while Rocking mode raises it by another 15 mm. This allows the E-Class All-Terrain to have a ground clearance of up to 156 mm, which is significantly higher than the standard Estate’s 160 mm.
The Mercedes-Benz E-Class All-Terrain also benefits from the 4MATIC all-wheel drive system, which distributes the power between the front and rear axles according to the road conditions. The system works in conjunction with the electronic stability program (ESP), the anti-lock braking system (ABS), and the traction control system (ASR) to provide optimal grip and control. The E-Class All-Terrain also has a downhill speed regulation (DSR) feature, which helps the driver maintain a steady speed when descending steep slopes.
