In preparation for of Kia's new high-performance EV6 GT electric car, the Kia company has decided to pull the Stinger from sale in the UK. The Kia Stinger made its debut in 2017 and had significant revisions in 2021. The Kia Stinger sports car, powered by a 3.3-liter twin-turbocharged V6 engine, has been the brand's fastest-accelerating car for years. The Kia Stinger can go from 0 to 62 miles per hour in just 4.7 seconds.
Stinger was a symbol of Kia as well. The high-performance, rear-wheel drive sports saloon made a dramatic statement for the company, proving its mettle over long distances without sacrificing comfort or elegance. Kia's 'grand tourer' also helped the company attract new customers and alter the public opinion of the company in recent years.
The all-electric, zero-emissions EV6 GT is poised to step in and take its place, with UK deliveries set to begin before the year's end. The new model outruns the Stinger in a race to 62 mph and does so in 3.5 seconds. It's dual-motor electric powertrain generates 577 bhp (430 kW) and 740 Nm (546 lb-ft) of torque, making it Kia's most powerful production car to date.
Kia's Electric Global Modular Platform (E-GMP) is the foundation for the EV6 GT, as it was developed specifically to handle the vehicle's powerful electric propulsion. The Kia EV6 GT is a sleek coupe-inspired crossover with considerable internal space made possible by the powerful motors mounted on all four wheels and the long-range 77.4kWh battery positioned beneath the flat floor of the vehicle's cabin. It has a WLTP combined range of 265 miles and can be charged from 10 to 80 percent in just 18 minutes thanks to its 800V charging technology.
The chassis and drivetrain of the Kia EV6 GT are unique compared to other Kia EV6 models. Improved handling and confidence for the driver are the goals of modifications like performance brakes, retuned steering, and revised suspension. The car's performance may be tailored to the driver's preferences with the new GT Mode available through the upgraded Drive Mode Select system.
