Volkswagen's new electric van, ID. Buzz has been honored by Danish motoring journalists with the title Car of the Year 2023. ID. Buzz is praised for being different from other new electric cars because it has a cool design, a lot of space, and good driving qualities.
The Danish motoring media gathered at the Haaning Collection car museum in Bagsvaerd to hold the finals of Car of the Year 2023. The judges, consisting of 20 motoring journalists, awarded points to a field consisting of seven strong final vehicles, and when the last points were awarded, said the ID. Buzz back as the winner of the prestigious award Car of the Year in Denmark 2023. ID. Buzz won two more awards at the same event: the Design Award and the Car-Joy Award.
Michael Ebeling, who was given the award at the event, is the director of Volkswagen's passenger cars.

In the past few years, the Car of the Year award in Denmark has been dominated by electric cars, and this year was no exception, with one regular petrol car and six electric cars. The flow of new electric cars is increasing, and the competition is becoming more and more intense, but ID. Buzz still stood out from the year's strong electrical news.
The Volkswagen ID. Buzz was praised for its charming design, combining the DNA of the 1950s T1 folk wagon with a clean, modern, and aerodynamic design that points forward to a new digital and electric era.
ID. Buzz's design can do a lot more than look nice. Several jury members talked about how roomy, flexible, and family-friendly the electric minivan was, pointing out sliding doors on both sides. The ID. Buzz is a big electric car, but it's easy to drive and has a very small turning circle and good help systems, so it's easy to turn in tight spaces. At the same time, it's comfortable and safe, so it's a pleasure to drive on long stretches.
The ID. Buzz is the fourth model in Volkswagen's ID. family. All of the ID. models are based on the MEB platform. When ID. In January, Buzz comes with a 77 kWh battery and a 204 hp electric motor. The range is up to 417 km (WLTP), and ID. Buzz can charge quickly with up to 170 kW DC. Under ideal conditions, it takes about 30 minutes to charge.
Volkswagen ID. Buzz comes with two sets of equipment: Life, which costs $69,300, and Style, which costs $82,000. The Life version includes features like adaptive cruise control, intelligent Park Assist, a heated windshield, navigation with a 10" touchscreen, and 19" alloy wheels. The Style version has helpful systems like Travel Assist, Area View with a 360-degree camera, and Matrix LED IQ that are up-to-date and work very well. Light headlights and comfort features like front seats that can be adjusted electrically and sliding doors on each side that can be opened and closed electrically.

Volkswagen's electric model push began with the ID.3, which came out in 2020. The Volkswagen ID.4 and Volkswagen ID.5 followed in 2021 and 2022, respectively. Volkswagen just reached 500,000 ID cars sold worldwide, and there are now 10,000 ID models in Denmark. In 2021, the Volkswagen ID.4 was the best-selling electric car in Denmark. In 2023, a large new five-door model in the company car class with a range of up to 700 km will be added to the ID. family. In 2024, a station wagon version will come out. In 2025, a minicar called the ID.2 will be added. It will be a high-volume model for the Danish market.
