Volkswagen ID Buzz is Denmark's Car of the Year 2023

Volkswagen ID. Buzz

Volkswagen's new electric van, ID. Buzz has been honored by Danish motoring journalists with the title Car of the Year 2023. ID. Buzz is praised for being different from other new electric cars because it has a cool design, a lot of space, and good driving qualities.

The Danish motoring media gathered at the Haaning Collection car museum in Bagsvaerd to hold the finals of Car of the Year 2023. The judges, consisting of 20 motoring journalists, awarded points to a field consisting of seven strong final vehicles, and when the last points were awarded, said the ID. Buzz back as the winner of the prestigious award Car of the Year in Denmark 2023. ID. Buzz won two more awards at the same event: the Design Award and the Car-Joy Award.

Michael Ebeling, who was given the award at the event, is the director of Volkswagen's passenger cars.

"It is great that Volkswagen ID. Buzz is awarded Car of the Year in Denmark 2023. The fact that it won both the Design Award and the Car-Joy Award simultaneously shows that ID. Buzz is a unique product. It will be a fantastic ambassador for the electric conversion of Volkswagen's fleet".

In the past few years, the Car of the Year award in Denmark has been dominated by electric cars, and this year was no exception, with one regular petrol car and six electric cars. The flow of new electric cars is increasing, and the competition is becoming more and more intense, but ID. Buzz still stood out from the year's strong electrical news.

The Volkswagen ID. Buzz was praised for its charming design, combining the DNA of the 1950s T1 folk wagon with a clean, modern, and aerodynamic design that points forward to a new digital and electric era.

ID. Buzz's design can do a lot more than look nice. Several jury members talked about how roomy, flexible, and family-friendly the electric minivan was, pointing out sliding doors on both sides. The ID. Buzz is a big electric car, but it's easy to drive and has a very small turning circle and good help systems, so it's easy to turn in tight spaces. At the same time, it's comfortable and safe, so it's a pleasure to drive on long stretches.
