The Volkswagen ID Buzz van is sold out

Volkswagen ID Buzz

The Volkswagen ID Buzz has undoubtedly surprised the German company and the electric vehicle market. Although there are some alternatives to the Volkswagen electric van, none of them give such a sleek positioning and likeness to a legendary version as the Volkswagen T1. As a result, the company announced a few hours ago that the Pro and Cargo variants have already received over 20,000 definite reservations.

The Volkswagen ID Buzz electric van began production in June of last year. The company intends to produce 15,000 units of the electric van between that month and the end of the year. This means that many consumers will have to wait for their vehicle until well into 2023 when Volkswagen aims to raise production to 130,000 units per year. However, Volkswagen's leadership hopes this amount of reservations is just the beginning of a massive tsunami that will arrive in the coming months.

For the most part, 20,000 ID Buzz reservations have been made by clients who have only known the model through photographs on the internet or specialized periodicals. Few people have seen her. This means that the numbers may skyrocket when the automobiles arrive at showrooms in a few weeks. On the other hand, Volkswagen anticipates a new surge in sales as engine supply expands and additional body options for the car become available.

Volkswagen's electric van is presently only available with a 77 kWh battery, rear-wheel drive, and a single 204 hp electric motor; however, an extended wheelbase version, all-wheel drive, up to 7 seats, and even a sporty GTX variation will be available later.

The majority of reservations obtained by the Volkswagen ID Buzz (Cargo and Pro) have thus far come from the European market, so a significant increase in sales is also expected once their marketing has expanded to other territories, such as the United States, where customers have already requested their arrival.

The Volkswagen ID Buzz, on the other hand, will not be an inexpensive electric vehicle, as its pricing in Europe will exceed those of much of the traditional passenger car market. The Volkswagen ID Buzz Pro version (for passengers) costs 64,500 euros at the outset, while the Cargo version costs 56,100 euros. You may purchase the so-called Volkswagen ID Buzz 1st Edition for 71,400 euros if you want a well-equipped variation with a distinctive exterior.
