The new PremiumContact 7 tires have hit the market

Continental PremiumContact 7 tires

Continental introduces PremiumContact 7, the seventh version of the renowned PremiumContact tire. Several years of development effort have gone into the new tire, which focuses on utmost safety. Continental has improved the new passenger car tire in every safety-related aspect. Continental expects PremiumContact 7 to build on the success of its predecessor, PremiumContact 6, which won 34 tests in major international trade journals.

The tailor-made design based on vehicle class, the innovative RedChili rubber compound, and the adaptive pattern are significant innovations that have permitted substantial development in safety.

PremiumContact 7, like SportContact 7, is suited to the vehicle class and considers criteria such as weight, dimensions, and fuel type. Because big vehicles have different tire solutions than light vehicles, the PremiumContact 7 characteristics have been tailored to each vehicle class.

The safety aspect in this market is becoming increasingly crucial as the number of electric vehicles with long-range and substantial performance increases. PremiumContact 7's specialized design delivers good grip and short braking distances for every fuel type, in addition to improvements in rolling resistance and longevity.

Another unique feature of the PremiumContact 7 tire is the patented RedChili rubber composition, which allows Continental to achieve excellent performance across the most significant temperature range imaginable. Typically, a tire needs to roll for a while to warm up and achieve the best potential grip. PremiumContact 7's rubber composition, on the other hand, has been created to provide optimal grip from the start, resulting in safer driving - something that is especially useful in early spring and late autumn.

The PremiumContact 7's adaptable tread design guarantees stability and comfort on wet and dry roads: The tire's contact with the ground terminates where the transverse tread grooves are the widest, maximizing water evacuation. The contact surface with the road is shifted further out onto the shoulder when cornering. The transverse pattern grooves taper off, providing steady driving characteristics and a higher cornering grip.

The new technology has been tested in computer simulations, labs, and on test tracks in France, Germany, the Czech Republic, and the United States, with impressive results. The PremiumContact 7 tire has a 10% longer lifespan than its predecessor. Driving characteristics on wet roads have been enhanced by 5%, braking characteristics on wet surfaces by 7%, and hydroplaning attributes by 2%. PremiumContact 7 now meets the requirements for the EU tire label grade "A." Both dry road handling and braking performance have increased by three percentage points.

PremiumContact 7 tire is currently available in a limited number of sizes. The size range will gradually expand, with tires ranging from 16 to 21 inches available by the end of the year. @via Spare Wheel.
