Opel will soon partner with a new global creative agency: Jung von Matt HAVEL will begin working with the German automaker on January 1, 2023. The relationship encompasses all aspects of brand positioning and campaign development for Opel and Vauxhall across all marketing channels and markets.
"With Jung von Matt advertising agency, we will have one of the most creative agencies in the world alongside us in the future," says Florian Huettl, CEO of Opel / Vauxhall. We are thrilled with this collaboration, which will provide new impetus to the brand's ongoing emotionalization. "The initial approaches have already delighted us."
"We are all incredibly thrilled that Opel has picked Jung von Matt HAVEL," says Jung von Matt partner Peter Figge. "The Berlin team is happy to have been collaborating with Opel and Vauxhall since the beginning of the presentation and looks forward to accompanying two great brands on their journey to become international e-mobility brands."
The tender, which has just concluded, was held in anticipation of the expiration of the existing contract. "Since January 2019, McCann has proven to be an exceptionally reliable partner," Huettl, CEO of Opel / Vauxhall, stated. "We want to congratulate CEO Philipp Jahn and his staff for their exceptional cooperation during this critical period, particularly for outstanding projects such as the current campaign for the new Opel Astra Plug-in Hybrid."
Opel is now focusing on brand profiling and a significant electrification offensive. The automaker already has 12 electric models on the market, ranging from the Opel Rocks-e, Opel Vivaro-e, Opel Mokka-e, and Opel Astra Plug-in Hybrid to the Opel Movano-e. The entire Opel range will be electrified by 2024. Opel will only sell battery electric vehicles in Europe beginning in 2028.
