Two years later, Mercedes-Benz introduced the 280 SL model, which was equipped with a powerful 2.8-liter engine that developed 170 hp and could reach 100 km/h in just 9 seconds. The Mercedes-Benz 280 SL also featured a brake regulator, and larger front and rear disc brakes, significantly improving it over its predecessors.
Legacy and Collectability
After producing a total of 48,912 models, the Mercedes-Benz W113 series was retired in 1971.
