The new Alfa Romeo Tonale Plug-in Hybrid Q4 is at the top of the Tonale range. This is part of the rollout of the Italian automaker's ambitious 5-year electrification strategy. The 2023 Alfa Romeo Tonale Plug-in Hybrid Q4 previews the company's offer. Based on the brand's 112 years of Italian heritage and design, Alfa will design and make high-quality, electrified, sporty, efficient, and aesthetically pleasing cars.
Regarding fuel economy, the Plug-in Hybrid Q4 system prioritizes performance. The vehicle's system output is a combined 280 horsepower, split between the front-mounted, 4-cylinder, 1.3-liter Multiair turbo gasoline engine and the rear-mounted, 122-horsepower electric motor with 250 Newton-meters of torque, via a 6-speed automated transmission. A 306-volt, 15.5-kilowatt-hour lithium-ion battery allows for a range of up to 69 kilometers on electricity alone (WLTP combined) and over 80 kilometers in urban areas. In less than 2.5 hours, you may get a complete charge thanks to the 7.4 kW of power it provides. The automobile can be charged with 3.7 kW in Danish households, and a full charge takes less than 5 hours in Denmark. Not to mention, the combined electric and gas range is said to be 600 kilometers.
Only all-wheel drive is available on the Alfa Romeo Tonale Plug-in Hybrid Q4. The Tonale's sophisticated 4x4 hybrid system is not physically connected but "talks to each other" electronically to reduce weight and increase agility and dynamics. The internal combustion engine propels the front wheels, while the electric motor powers the rear axle. By doing so, you may rest assured that the electric motor's consistent 100% torque will be transmitted to the back wheels as soon as the accelerator is depressed. Acceleration from 0 to 100 kilometers per hour takes 6.2 seconds, and the maximum speed is 206 kilometers per hour in hybrid mode and 135 kilometers per hour on electric power alone.
